EISEDICHT Tyvek® Self-Adhesive Airtight Pipe Sealing Grommet

The EISEDICHT Tyvek® airtight pipe sealing grommet is a professional self-adhesive sealing solution designed for the permanent airtight and windtight sealing of pipe, cable and service penetrations through building envelope membranes. It helps prevent uncontrolled air leakage and moisture-related damage to building structures, making it suitable for energy-efficient construction and professional building installations.

The one-piece airtight sealing grommet features a self-adhesive Tyvek® sealing collar that is highly tear-resistant, water-repellent and resistant to ageing. The collar is coated with a strong polyacrylate adhesive, providing a durable connection to the building's airtight or windtight layer.

The integrated EPDM rubber sealing sleeve provides a permanently flexible seal around pipes and service lines. Manufactured from ageing-resistant EPDM rubber, the sleeve incorporates kink protection and integrated strain relief, helping accommodate minor structural movements and mechanical stress around the penetration.

The EISEDICHT Tyvek® GD series includes several variants for different pipe diameters. Depending on the selected model, the sealing sleeve height is 30 mm or 40 mm, while the self-adhesive collar measures 150 × 150 mm or 230 × 230 mm.

The grommets are suitable for interior and exterior applications, providing airtight sealing of penetrations through vapour barriers, vapour control membranes and other suitable airtight or windtight building envelope layers.

The products are designed in accordance with DIN 4108-7 and DIN 18015-5, supporting the airtightness requirements referenced in GEG 2020.

The listed GD variants are GTÜ tested and carry the Passivhaus seal.

Installation: Select the appropriate grommet according to the pipe or conduit diameter. Position the flexible EPDM sleeve around the penetration and bond the self-adhesive Tyvek® collar to the prepared airtight or windtight layer according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.

The permanently elastic sleeve helps maintain a durable seal while accommodating limited movement or subsequent adjustment of the installation line.
