EISEDICHT Tyvek® Self-Adhesive Airtight Pipe Sealing Grommet

The EISEDICHT Tyvek® airtight pipe sealing grommet is a professional self-adhesive sealing solution designed for the permanent airtight and windtight sealing of pipe and service penetrations through building envelope membranes. It helps prevent uncontrolled air leakage and moisture-related damage to building structures, making it suitable for energy-efficient construction and professional installation applications.

The one-piece airtight sealing grommet features a large self-adhesive Tyvek® sealing collar, which is highly tear-resistant, water-repellent and resistant to ageing. The collar is coated with a high-strength polyacrylate adhesive, providing a durable connection to the building's airtight or windtight layer.

The integrated 60 mm high EPDM sealing sleeve provides a permanently flexible seal around pipes and service lines. Manufactured from ageing-resistant EPDM rubber, the sleeve incorporates kink protection and integrated strain relief, helping accommodate minor structural movement and mechanical stress around the penetration.

The EISEDICHT Tyvek® pipe sealing grommet range includes several diameters to accommodate different pipe sizes. Depending on the selected version, the self-adhesive sealing collar measures 230 × 230 mm, 320 × 320 mm or 350 × 350 mm.

The grommets are suitable for interior and exterior applications, providing airtight sealing for penetrations through vapour barriers, vapour control membranes and other suitable airtight or windtight building envelope layers.

The product is designed in accordance with DIN 4108-7 and DIN 18015-5, supporting the building airtightness requirements referenced in GEG 2020.

The specified RGD variants are GTÜ tested and carry the Passive House seal.

The grommets are suitable for use in residential and commercial construction, timber-frame buildings, energy-efficient houses and airtight building envelope systems.

Installation: Select the appropriate grommet according to the pipe diameter. Position the flexible EPDM sleeve around the pipe and bond the self-adhesive Tyvek® collar to the prepared airtight or windtight layer according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.

The permanently elastic sleeve helps maintain a flexible seal while accommodating limited pipe movement or subsequent adjustment.
