Certified "Bulldog C5" Connection Plate

The Simpson Strong-Tie Bulldog® C5 double-sided timber connector is designed for creating strong timber-to-timber connections using bolts, pins or dowels. The connector improves load transfer between timber members while preventing direct contact between the connected wooden elements.

Manufactured from DC01 (DX51D) steel, the connector features teeth on both sides that penetrate the timber surface during installation. As the bolt is tightened, the teeth are pressed into the wood, creating a secure mechanical connection and increasing the connection's load-bearing performance.

The Bulldog® C5 connector is suitable for structural timber applications where reliable bolted timber joints are required in load-bearing constructions.

Installation

The connector is placed between the timber members and installed by tightening the bolt assembly. During tightening, the teeth penetrate the timber and create a secure mechanical connection.

The bolt assembly must always include two washers.
