PENOSIL Fire Rated Foam B1 296 is a professional fire-resistant polyurethane foam with straw applicator, designed for installation and sealing works where increased fire resistance is required. It is suitable for fire-rated doors and windows, sealing joints in fire-resistant walls and other applications demanding certified fire performance.

The foam provides fire resistance up to 240 minutes and is classified as B1 according to DIN 4102-1 and B-s2,d0 according to EN standards. It features uniform foam structure, high mechanical strength and good volume expansion for effective gap filling without shrinkage.

Supplied in a 1000 ml aerosol can with 760 ml content and equipped with a straw applicator for manual application.

Adheres to wood, concrete, masonry, brick, most metals, gypsum boards, EPS and roof tiles.

Application conditions:
Air temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C
Can temperature: +5 °C to +25 °C (best results at +20 °C)

Shake the can at least 20 times before use. Attach the straw applicator and apply with the can held upside down. Fill joints approximately 50% due to expansion. For larger joints, apply in layers and lightly moisten between layers. After curing, cut off excess foam.

Limitations:

Light construction elements must be securely fixed before application due to expansion pressure.
Cured foam must be protected from UV radiation.
Not suitable for permanent contact with water.
Does not adhere to polyethylene (PE), PTFE (Teflon®) or silicone surfaces.

Safety:

Extremely flammable aerosol. Pressurized container. Contains isocyanates (including 4,4’-methylenediphenyl diisocyanate isomers and homologues). Professional training required before industrial or professional use (from 24 August 2023). Use appropriate respiratory protection in poorly ventilated areas.
