PENOSIL MembraneFix 629 – Acrylic Membrane Adhesive 290 ml Blue

PENOSIL MembraneFix 629 is a one-component acrylic adhesive designed for bonding various membranes and films. It ensures a fully airtight joint and remains permanently elastic after curing.

The adhesive provides good adhesion to most vapour barrier membranes and is suitable for bonding PE, PP, PA films and other vapour control layers to common construction substrates such as concrete, brick, plaster, wood and metal. The cured adhesive remains plasto-elastic and maintains long-term adhesion.

The product is odourless, easy to apply and intended for interior use only.

Supplied in a 290 ml plastic cartridge (12 pcs per box). Colour: Blue.

Application & Usage

Suitable for:

• Bonding roof vapour barrier membranes to masonry, plastered surfaces, drywall and wood

• Joining vapour barrier membranes and films

• Temporary fixing of dust protection films to ceilings and walls

When bonding porous substrates and vapour barrier membranes, apply adhesive to the more porous surface and press the membrane firmly into place. For faster initial grab, allow the adhesive to dry until it darkens and forms a tacky film before joining surfaces.

For membrane-to-membrane bonding, use contact bonding: press surfaces together, separate and allow the adhesive to darken before final pressing.

Ensure sufficient allowance for membrane movement to prevent stress and tearing.

Application temperature: +5 °C to +40 °C.
Ensure good ventilation during curing.

Cleaning:
Uncured adhesive can be removed with water or PENOSIL Cleaning Wipes 941. Cured adhesive must be removed mechanically.

Limitations:

• Not suitable for load-bearing elements

• Not suitable for areas in permanent contact with water

• Interior use only
