Column Shoes PB / PPB, Height-Adjustable, Hot-Dip Galvanized

PB / PPB column shoes are steel base supports for timber posts that are loaded only in compression and connected to concrete foundations. They provide a structurally reliable interface between wood columns and concrete, while enabling height adjustment on site.

Manufactured from steel S 235 JR according to DIN EN 10025 and fully hot-dip galvanized after processing to DIN EN 1461 (zinc coating approx. 55 μm), these column bases offer durable corrosion protection for use in outdoor and exposed environments.

The PPB type column base is height-adjustable and fixed to concrete using anchor bolts, while the PPS version is concreted directly into the foundation. The threaded rod passes through a hole (Ø18 / Ø22 mm) in the timber post, and positional securing of the post is achieved using screws or nails. The maximum distance from the moulded base plate is 100 mm; for the PPS base a minimum embedment of 200 mm in concrete applies.
