EISEDICHT FRGD250 Tyvek® bellows pipe sealing grommet 250–270 mm is a one-piece airtight sealing grommet designed for quick and airtight sealing of pipe penetrations through airtight and windtight layers, particularly where a rising pipe passes through a sloped construction.

The grommet features a highly flexible 30 mm high EPDM bellows designed to provide a permanently flexible seal around the pipe on slopes up to 45°. The height-adjustable bellows construction accommodates the angled pipe penetration, while integrated strain relief helps reduce mechanical loading on the sealed connection.

A large 580 × 580 mm Tyvek® adhesive collar is self-adhesive and tear-resistant, providing a durable connection to the airtight layer. The collar uses an extremely strong polyacrylate adhesive.

The FRGD250 Tyvek® pipe grommet has a specified temperature resistance from -30 °C to +100 °C, is UV-resistant and halogen-free, and can be installed from +5 °C. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, complies with DIN 4108-7 and DIN 18015-5, is GTÜ tested, and carries the Passive House seal.

Applications & Usage

The EISEDICHT FRGD250 Tyvek® pipe sealing grommet is intended for airtight sealing of 250–270 mm pipe penetrations, particularly where rising pipework passes through an airtight or windtight layer at an angle of up to 45°.

For installation in airtight or windtight membranes, including vapour barriers and vapour control layers, an opening corresponding to the pipe diameter is created in the membrane. The appropriately sized sealing grommet is then bonded according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.

The flexible EPDM bellows accommodates the sloped penetration while maintaining a flexible seal around the pipe. Typical applications include pipework and similar large-diameter penetrations in interior and exterior building-envelope construction.
