EISEDICHT Alu-Butyl Pipe Sealing Grommet – RGD50–RGD250

EISEDICHT Alu-Butyl pipe sealing grommets are one-piece airtight pipe sealing grommets designed for fast and permanent sealing of pipe penetrations on mineral and absorbent substrates. The range covers pipe diameters from 50 to 270 mm and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The grommets are suitable for substrates such as concrete, sand-lime brick, OSB and wood-fibre boards. A self-adhesive, tear-resistant Alu-Butyl adhesive collar creates a permanent connection to the substrate. Depending on the condition of the surface, pretreatment with BUBI LF adhesion primer may be required.

Each grommet features a highly flexible 60 mm high EPDM anti-kink sleeve, providing a permanently flexible seal around the pipe while also incorporating strain relief. The extremely strong butyl adhesive is designed for reliable bonding to suitable construction surfaces.

The grommets are temperature-resistant from -30 °C to +100 °C, UV-resistant and halogen-free. Installation is specified from +5 °C.

The range complies with DIN 4108-7 and EnEV 2014. It has tested water tightness at 0.02 bar, is GTÜ tested and carries the Passive House seal.

Applications & Usage

The EISEDICHT Alu-Butyl pipe sealing grommet is designed for airtight sealing of pipe penetrations through building components. It is particularly suitable for applications on concrete, sand-lime brick, OSB, wood-fibre boards and other compatible mineral or absorbent substrates.

The correct grommet should be selected according to the pipe diameter. The pipe penetration is sealed using the self-adhesive Alu-Butyl collar and flexible EPDM sleeve. Depending on substrate condition, BUBI LF primer may be required before installation.

Installation should be carried out according to the manufacturer's instructions. The pipe should be positioned so that excessive mechanical loading of the bonded sealing area is avoided.
