Makita XGT KP001G Cordless Planer (40Vmax; 82 mm; Brushless)

The Makita XGT® KP001G is a heavy-duty 40Vmax cordless planer designed for professional carpentry and construction. Equipped with a powerful brushless motor and a 2-blade cutter drum with double-sided carbide knives, it delivers clean and efficient stock removal with a planing width of 82 mm and adjustable cutting depth from 0 to 4 mm. The maximum rebating depth is 25 mm, making it suitable for both surface planing and edge/rebate work.

Planing depth is set by a front-mounted adjustment knob with an integrated scale, allowing precise, repeatable settings. Chip ejection can be directed to either side, improving dust control and making the tool easier to adapt to different work positions. The compact design and rubberised handle reduce operator fatigue during prolonged use.

The KP001G supports AWS (Auto-Start Wireless System), allowing wireless connection via Bluetooth to compatible dust extractors (AWS chip not included as standard). The built-in battery protection system automatically shuts off power in case of low battery, overload or overheating, increasing tool and battery life.
