PENOSIL Sanitary Silicone 313 / 313c – Acid Cure Silicone Sealant 300 ml

PENOSIL Sanitary Silicone 313 is a general-purpose acid cure sanitary silicone sealant designed for sealing joints in wet and damp areas. It is suitable for use in bathrooms, kitchens and other sanitary environments where moisture resistance and mold resistance are required.

The sealant forms a permanently elastic joint and is resistant to mold, UV radiation and ageing. It withstands household cleaning chemicals and becomes water resistant approximately 30 minutes after application. The material does not slump on vertical surfaces and provides excellent workability with a stable colour tone over time.

The product is supplied in a 300 ml plastic cartridge (12 pcs per box).

Application & Usage

Suitable for sealing joints in wet and damp areas, including:

• Joints between tiled floors and walls

• Washbasins

• Toilets

• Bathtubs

• Shower mixers

• Shower cabins

Application instructions:
Cut off the threaded top of the cartridge and screw on the nozzle. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle to obtain the required bead size. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun and apply the sealant evenly along the joint. Smooth the joint and remove excess sealant with a suitable tool immediately after application.

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and old sealant residues. For wide joints, use a suitable backing rod. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and curing.

Limitations:

• Not suitable for bitumen or materials that release oils, plasticisers or solvents (e.g. natural or synthetic rubber, chloroprene, EPDM, flexible PVC)

• Does not adhere to PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®) or PMMA

• Do not use below +5°C

• Not recommended for metal or natural stone such as marble and granite

• Not suitable for aquariums or underwater joints

• Not suitable as mirror adhesive

• Not paintable
